of SketchUp - namely @Last Software to introduce , support and train many interested SketchUp
enthusiasts to spread the word in Europe.

UK and Europe and our constant commitment keeps us very busy. Part of that time i am more than
happy to assist Goh with his endeavors and more than happy to aid any newcomer in getting as

Greetings to All;
I'm a newbie not only here, to these awesome tools but also SketchUp in hopes of becoming very good friends with it when I learn how to use it and get the most from it. I'm originally from Wisconsin,USA. My kids think I'm an ole fart until they walk with me a whole day. Before days end they're out for the count and I'm still having fun. Ah, I love life each day I awake and am ready to have fun, after thanking the good Lord for what I know will be an awesome day.
I chose 'heywelder' as my screen name because I was a journeymen welder/fitter until a backhoe decided to blindside me while my hood was down and of course I was workin' really hard. if you believe will buy a bridge I haven't sold yet?
After the docs finished practicing doing 14 ops to save my arm, I know now why they call them patricians, my welding career was over. They tried to convince me that I wouldn't be able to do very much. They didn't realize that I'm deaf in one ear and can't hear out of the other. This gave me the opportunity to do something that I had wanted to learn how for years... that being how to play with wood. I had watched and learned from carpenters which helped me greatly at being very good as a welder/fitter in the shipyards and out in the field. I begged, pleaded on bended knees that a family of friends that did finished custom wood trim on homes starting at $ 500,000, you've seen those little shacks, would add this ole fart to the crew...and they did...and it was fun learning how the right way. The monies I made with their help in choosing good tools...not those that last for but one project, I now have a nice shop. Now I'm having way too fun between; things I want to build, my loving wife's 'honey-do-list', plus working with fellow brother Mason's to build things to help physically impaired children to do more things on their own. The smile on the child's and parents faces is our priceless reward and payment.
My purpose of hoping to learn how to use SketchUp for designing prints of the projects I/we want to build is because a picture is like a thousand words when you show the folks what we think their child needs to give them more freedom at no cost. Monies to purchase what they need they don't have but a grateful smile they have. This is tad about me and my reason for joining this forum. I'm on another learning mission to test my pea brain with exercise. Learning the proper way of using good software is oftentimes harder than learning how to use the puter itself...excluding kids of course.
Even said for the moment. Now I shall go reading to help me learn and before posting questions that have probably been already posted.

I'm currently encharge of many projects in China that required multiple story boards perspectives to sell our designs to our clients. I have been working with sketch up for about a year were I produce scenes for hand renderings set up.

Hi everyone;

I am a sole Architect and LEED AP practitioner with experience in many different building types.
I have been using Sketchup for schematic design and design development of architectural and furniture/industrail design related projects off and on for 5-6 years. My goal is to provide clients with a high level of service, good design and well crafted buildings.
On larger projects, I collaborate with other architects and consultants with whom I have over the years built successful, long standing relationships.
Still feel like a newbie. I really appreciate the new functionality of Sketchup Pro has (Layout, and Style Builder)am looking to use the program more in my pratice.
In the introduction of 7.1 they showed a little video that suggested you could create a full blown Permit and Construction set using Sketchup. Showing dimensional detail drawings.
I currently have a house renovation that I would like to see it this is really possible and what the level of effort will be to generate such a group of drawings.
So here we go.
