Vertical groove

Hi Goh,

Is there any way to add "vertical groove" along with horizontal grooves? that would be really awesome to create a crossing reveals on the wall :D

hi rfox,
I'm afraid that is really beyond me at the moment. Creating crisscrossed grooves on a single face is not that difficult.
The difficult part is to solve the corners between 2 edges.
The image below is created by running the groove once, then rotate the face and run the groove tool again.
It doesn't creates the crisscrossing effect correctly at the intersections though...

Following image is created by running the metal deck tool twice, then run an intersect face.
It's not what rfox is talking about, just though of showing what can be done with current tools.

yet another created using the metal deck tool twice at different angle,
explode the groups, do an 'intersect faces',
then do some manual deletion (which is not that cool :( )
then do 'soften coplanar'
