Stair tool

Goh,
I'd like if you could have a look at this tool.

Attached is a screenshot of the dialogue box for your Type 6 stair; an in-situ stair. Note the comments I have make regarding the resulting 3D model that is generated from the settings. In addition to this it would be good to be offered the option of inputting a total floor to floor height then provide the number of risers which calculates and shows the riser dimension. This in turn give you the number of treads and also calculates and displays the total stair run seeing we have inputted the tread depth. This is invaluable information as a lot of the time [survey or one] stairs are not a fixed element at the outset and a few options of number of riser / run choices need to be considered.

Also, I thought about a function to taper risers too but realised it is as easy as selecting all riser / tread junctions and moving back into the stair itself....

Anyway, I think if you can incorporate these changes to this tool it would make things heaps better!!!!

Cheers,
Andrew

ok,.... here's a sneak preview on the next upgrade;
I have added the option to place the waiting steps to before going up or down or none.

However, for staircase with steel stringers, it seems that without having the waiting steps before going up,
the inside stringer cannot meet the landing and continue downwards.

I can add the waiting steps before going down, but doesn't seems logical to remove the waiting step before going up.
Anyone has any experience working with this type of staircase without the waiting steps before going up?

Happy to report that there are now 3 options for most staircases in 1001bit Pro v2:

Goh, On stairs:

1.

This occurs in all dialogue boxes for stairs I believe....

2. When inputing a stair you click the start point then have this in the VCB

Which doesn't allow you to enter an angle by user..... or inference.

3. Should this type of stair not be Type 1 stair seeing I would expect it be the most widely designed stair?

It might sound a like pedantic, Goh although if the most used stair type is first on the list it is quicker to get it done!!

Following on:

4. These 2 types of stairs I have never seen and would guess be extremely difficult to build insitu.

Oh, and another thing; I think this may need to be considered in a future release rather than a patch...

Everytime I build a stair I know it's total rise 100% of the time. Does anyone not? This means that it makes sense to adopt a 'TOTAL RISE' input line in the Dialogue Box. This would be followed by TOTAL No. of RISES' with another line showing the result of division. ie: riser. This would give the user a chance at that point to chance the number if risers to ensure safe and legal riser heights....

Thoughts???
