Wall tool

Postby utiler » Wed Apr 20, 2011 12:58 am

Hi Goh and everyone.
regarding the wall tool, when you're inside a group or component and build a wall with 'build as group' ticked the group is located outside the group you're in.
Goh, can you look at this?

Cheers,
A

Re: Wall tool inferring

Postby utiler » Mon May 23, 2011 11:06 am

Hi Goh,
The walls tool only inferences on Axis lines but doesn't infer when parrallel to any. Can you update the tool to do so? Would be a neat enhancement!!!

hi Andrew,
Thanks, this needs some more thoughts on the process, right now we use the arrow keys to set inference to axis; are you refering to something like:
use arrow key to switch between perpendicular or parallel to previous wall direction?

or maybe
you move the cursor to any wall then press arrow key so that the inference is set either perpendicular or parallel to that wall...
this might be useful :D

cheers!
Goh

Ok, wasn't aware of the arrows options.... however it can be done; see my thread here at the SCF:
http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtop ... le#p197845

I think that the closer the UI of any third party script is to SketchUp's UI the better and more valuable!!] it is...! I'd love it see you incorporate it, Goh!
